Autism Support Programme

Our Autism Support Programme is currently funded by BBC Children in Need.

We offer a wide range of activities including cooking, crafts, sports, games, and sensory activities. Our smaller numbers allow us to tailor our activities to meet the individual needs of each young person.

In addition, we support the integration of young people with an autism spectrum disorder into other programmes provided by Larne YMCA.

We provide 4 autism specific sessions per week with a maximum of 10 young people per session.

Session 1 Monday 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Session 2 Thursday 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Session 3 Friday 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Session 4 Saturday 2.30pm – 4.30pm

Participants can self - refer onto the programme but must either be waiting for a diagnosis or have a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder.

A referral process is in place to ensure group sizes are protected and that participants are assigned to the appropriate session to best meet their age and stage.
