YOUTH Club

About Youth Club

Larne YMCA Youth Club is renowned locally for its professionalism, diversity and opportunities it affords for youth. EA have rated the provision as Outstanding in the last 2 moderation visits.

We operate a five-night a week service (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) working with young people from as young as Primary 3. The provision is funded by the Education Authority.

A number of projects such as Dare to Swim, Good Relations and Health-based programmes are delivered throughout the year. Project content is shaped by participants’ needs and requirements.

We are excited to introduce a drug and alcohol support service as an extension to our youth support. This will include targeted small group work, 1:1 support and the facilitation of a local drug and alcohol network. Additionally, a term time homework club will be available from April 2021.

Youth Club operates with a Senior Youth Work Manager, Youth Support Worker in Charge, sessional staff, volunteers, junior leaders and helpers who work with over 250 young people a week.
